This is always one of my favorite days as Athletic Director, as it is truly gratifying to be the middleman in the process of our Hoops for Hunger campaign here at the Middle/High School. Last night concluded our "Hoops for Hunger Week", and today I had the privilege of dropping off over 130 non-perishable food items and over $1000 in cash to help those in need in our community.
This day would not be possible were it not for the extremely generous donations of food and/or money that so many of you have made this season. It was common for me to find $20 bills or higher in the jar after games. Thank you so much to all of you who have participated and have been so generous.
Should you wish to continue donations, we will continue to accept money at home games for the rest of the season, and I will be happy to make a second trip to the Food Pantry. Again, thank you all for helping us fight hunger in our community, and hope you enjoy the picture of my office this morning! Go Hawks Go!
